Aside from being the cultural heart of Bali, Ubud is also home to some of the best walking trails that offer serene views and an atmosphere to help you relax during your visit to Bali. When talking about hiking trails one that must be mentioned is the Campuhan Ridge Walk, which is located just a few minutes from the main road of Ubud.
What is the Campuhan Ridge Walk?
The Campuhan Ridge Walk can best be described as a hiking trail that leads to a scenic pathway on top of a hill. You might even have seen the Ridge Walk before in social media or brochures of Ubud. It offers a great view of the lush grass and vegetation that surrounds Ubud, as well as the hills and mountains in the distance.
How do you get to there?
Getting to Campuhan Ridge Walk is actually quite easy, and takes only minutes from the main Ubud Road. If you’re riding a motorbike, it is even easier. All you have to do is take the main Ubud Road heading west, and you’ll follow a descent through a road covered with trees. If you’re coming from the main road of Ubud, the Campuhan Ridge Walk entrance will be on your right side. It’s easy to miss the entrance because it’s quite hidden, so make sure you pay attention!
What should you prepare?
The Campuhan Ridge Walk can is a relatively light hiking trail. You can easily walk the trails with regular shoes. However, we do recommend that you wear something light and comfortable. The trail itself starts off from the bottom of a hill, with a gradual ascent as you continue through the path.
