Here are the cultural shows you can freely enjoy or partake in during your stay at Mara River Safari Lodge.

LOBBY BARONG

Get your pace ready at the entrance gate, Lobby Barong for a magnificent journey of the greatest Balinese legend. The Barong Dance tells a legendary story of Calonarang, a white wizard, turned into a mystical creature to fight an endless battle against Rangda, the dark forces that threaten mankind.

HANOMAN COURT

Hanoman Court is home to a number of exotic birds and Orangutan encounters. Decorated with a collection of statues of Rahwana and Hanoman, the monkey god from the famous story of Ramayana.It is the main stage for animal educational and entertainment shows.

BALI VILLAGE

Be a part of the Balinese community and learn how to dance to their culture. We offer visitors an opportunity to learn Balinese dance available every day, starting at 9.00 am until 17.00 pm at Bale Banjar, Bali Market. This traditional activity is free of charge! If you have your doubts to try, the dancers practice their various Balinese dance routines. To take this chance to join our dancers and be a part of a bigger community is a magical moment during your stay in Bali.

When visiting Bali Safari & Marine Park on a Sunday, be sure to have lunch at our Uma Restaurant while enjoying a Balinese dance performance at 12.30 pm. We present a variety of Balinese dances performed by our professional dancers. Some to name arePuspanjali, Sekar Jagat, Cendrawasih, Tenun, Oleg Tamulilingan, and Baris dance.This performance is also presented every Sunday and National Holiday at Bale Banjar, Bali Market at 13.00 pm.

BALINESE DANCE COURSE

To those of you who would like to learn Balinese dance, please don't miss this chance. We offer a chance to all visitors to try learning Balinese dance everyday, starting at 9.00 am until 17.00 (5 pm) at Bale Banjar, Bali Market, and it is free of charge. If you have a doubt to try, you can watch how the dancers practice a various Balinese dances. So, please join with our dancers to enjoy this special moment during your stay in Bali.

BALINESE DANCE PERFORMANCE

If you visit Bali Safari & Marine Park on Sundays, don't forget to have lunch at Uma Restaurant while enjoying Balinese dance performances at 12.30 pm. We present a various Balinese dances by our professional dancers. Some of them are Puspanjali, Sekar Jagat, Cendrawasih, Tenun, Oleg Tamulilingan, and Baris dance.

RINDIK

As one of Bali’s traditional musical instruments, the Rindik is commonly played for JogedBumbung dance performances. You will hear the rhythm of this bamboo instrument as we welcome visitors at Lobby Barong played by a couple of Rindik players. Nevertheless, the Rindik is also presented in hotel lobbies and restaurants around the island because of the unique, relaxing, and dynamic melodies it has while being played.

BARONG DANCE PERFORMANCE

We present various versions of Barong dances, such as Barong Ket, Barong Bangkung& Barong Macan. In special occasions, we often present Barong Ngelawang, a dance accompanied by musical instruments and dancers in the Bali Safari & Marine Park area.

Things To Do

Boasting a lovely view of Mount Agung in the distance, the property is embraced by pristine nature and rare tranquility. Adventurous travelers will have great fun watching and even feeding the wild animals from their own balcony. Leisure travelers may want to explore the traditional Balinese architecture on the premise or lounge around the Kiboko Pool.
